Formulas

  • 1

    Pot Odds

Pot Odds = (Amount to Call / (Amount To Call + Pot Size))

Pot odds are used in poker to determine if a call is profitable based on the size of the pot relative to the size of the bet. Compare your pot odds to your chances of winning the hand to determine the profitability of a call.

For example, if a player bets $100 into a $100 pot you will have 33.33% (or 2:1) odds. If you believe your hand has a 33.33% chance (or better) of winning then you can make the call.

  • 2

    Stack-to-Pot Ratio

SPR = (Effective Stack / Pot Size)

The Stack-to-Pot Ratio (SPR) compares the effective stack size to the pot size. A low SPR means there's less room to make moves, often occurring when the pot is large or stacks are shallow. A high SPR usually happens with big stacks and small pots, allowing for more betting on later streets.

  • 3

    Effective Stack

Effective Stack = Maximum Hero Can Lose

The Effective Stack Size represents the maximum amount of chips you can lose in a hand, based on the remaining players and their stack sizes. Understanding this is crucial for setting your bet sizes and knowing the risk at each stage of the hand.

  • 4

    Overlay-Specific Options

Customize your overlays by hiding or showing the % or BB symbols, or changing the number of decimal places. For example, here you can display pot odds as a ratio (2:1) instead of a percentage (33.3%).

Troubleshooting

The Utilities overlay isn't appearing.

It's possible you need to initialize (or reinitialize) your Ignition/Bodog/Bovada or Winamax client. This is a required step any time your poker client updates, or IntuitiveTables updates and you are prompted to initialize. Follow Step #1 in the Ignition Setup guide or the Winamax Setup guide.

For other sites like Chico, 888, or WSOP it's possible your client updated. First check to see if the newest version of IntuitiveTables has support for the new client update, and if not contact support.

The Utilities overlay is showing the wrong values.

Please use the Report Hand overlay during a hand the moment you see an incorrect value and send the diagnostics files to support.

Can I separate the overlays?

The overlays cannot be separated. They will move together and resize together. You can however put the overlay in a single row by changing the "Display panels on x columns" to 2 or 3 instead.
